(ABC Midwest &amp; Wheatbelt: Piper Duffy)<\/p>\n<p>Town&#8217;s future under threat<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">Gingin shire president Linda Balcombe said damage to Lancelin&#8217;s coastal barrier had become worse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve lost some shire infrastructure, which is in front of the hotel and it&#8217;s moved at quite an aggressive rate,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph__iYReA\">The council has engaged coastal engineers and the Department of Transport for advice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A broken cement footpath blocked off by a metal fence line.
