EMERGENCY services have swarmed an area next to a river in Glasgow amid a major incident. <\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire<\/a> and Rescue Service said: “There is an ongoing incident we are currently attending.” <\/p>\n

Police, fire engines and an ambulance were sent to the area where a hiker was hospitalised after plunging 25ft last summer. <\/p>\n

An onlooker told The Scottish Sun: \u201cThere was a lot of people crying at the scene. The police and ambulance service are there. I think a specialist climbing unit had also been there earlier. It\u2019s quite a hilly and rocky area. It\u2019s easy to fall over the side.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police sealed off a nearby car park with blue tape and were stopping drivers from entering after the accident around 12.35pm.<\/p>\n
