TWO teenagers were rushed to hospital after taking ill at TRNSMT festival.<\/a><\/p>\n Emergency crews raced to Glasgow Green<\/a> yesterday following concerns for the welfare of the boys, aged 16 and 17.<\/p>\n They were rushed to hospital, but it is unclear what led to them becoming unwell.<\/a><\/p>\n One was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, while another was raced to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.<\/a><\/p>\n A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cA 16-year-old male youth was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and a 17-year-old male youth was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary<\/a> after becoming unwell at a festival in Glasgow.<\/p>\n \u201cEnquiries into the circumstances<\/a> are ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n TRNSMT revellers basked in the sunshine for a second day as Scotland\u2019s summer heatwave<\/a> reached fever pitch yesterday.<\/p>\n Scotland\u2019s biggest ever music weekender<\/a> has coincided with soaring temperatures across most of Scotland.<\/p>\n The wall-to-wall sunshine, with temperatures hitting high 20s and low 30s, led to some music fans struggling to cope in the heat.<\/p>\n They turned out in their thousands to give a raft of top acts including headliners Biffy Clyro<\/a>, Fontaines D.C, The Kooks and Inhaler the warmest of welcomes last night.<\/p>\n Many fans have already hailed the weekend a success after two days, despite a hiccup when security guards were found to have confiscated some fans\u2019 suncream at the site entrance due to a policy regarding bottle sizes<\/a> and aerosols.<\/p>\n After criticism from parents, the rule was rescinded.<\/a><\/p>\n Media and communications<\/a> graduate Claire Monaghan, 21, from Balloch, was among those giving Saturday\u2019s music bill the thumbs up.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cI\u2019ve been going to TRNSMT <\/a>since I was 14. Obviously, it\u2019s local so it\u2019s good and the Scottish community feeling of everyone being united. Also, the line up is so good. They\u2019ve managed to hit it out of the park. I love Fontaines D.C. I\u2019d much rather this than be poured on in the rain.\u201d<\/p>\n Guy Dudman, 16, from Dunfermline, went taps-aff with his pals on arrival.<\/a><\/p>\n Schoolboy Guy said: \u201cThis is my first festival. I\u2019m looking forward to Fontaines<\/a>. They\u2019re my favourite. It is definitely tops off weather.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got the sunscreen on and I think it\u2019s amazing<\/a> with it being warm and everyone out enjoying the sun. It\u2019s brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n Emma Scott, and Emily Gillespie, both 18, from Dunfermline, enjoyed a spot of sunbathing<\/a> between sets.<\/p>\n Emma said: \u201cThis is our last year in school. I\u2019m off to do a graduate apprenticeship and we\u2019re on our holidays.<\/a> This is our first time together. I love it. The sun is amazing. I\u2019m going to get a nice tan.\u201d<\/p>\n Emily added: \u201cI want to see Fontaines and Inhaler and we are mostly going to be at the Boogie bar and definitely the main stage.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n Fine art student Alisa Campbell, 21, arrived on a day trip<\/a> from Belfast, with pals Alanna McGann, 20, and Claudia Black, 20.<\/p>\n
