{"id":260667,"date":"2025-07-13T04:23:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-13T04:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/260667\/"},"modified":"2025-07-13T04:23:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-13T04:23:10","slug":"aides-to-the-king-and-prince-harry-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/260667\/","title":{"rendered":"Aides to the King and Prince Harry meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tThe meeting is said to be an initial step towards ending the years-long royal estrangement\t\t\t\t\t                <\/p>\n<p>Senior aides to <a class=\"post_in-line_link\" href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/topic\/king-charles-iii?srsltid=AfmBOopZoidDbaMJkDTgbP6gdPi-J_cEsg3a7SIGHjz_Zh-p7fSFx00q&amp;ico=in-line_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the King<\/a> and <a class=\"post_in-line_link\" href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/topic\/prince-harry?ico=in-line_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Duke of Sussex<\/a> have been pictured together in London in what is reported to be an initial step towards restoring the relationship between Harry and the rest of the royal family.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-14899657\/King-Charles-Prince-Harry-aides-meet-London-secret-peace-summit.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Images obtained by the the Mail On Sunday<\/a> show Meredith Maines, the duke\u2019s chief communications officer, and Liam Maguire, who runs Harry and Meghan\u2019s UK public relations team, meeting the King\u2019s communications secretary Tobyn Andreae at the Royal Over-Seas League near Clarence House.<\/p>\n<p>The Mail reports it is not known which side initiated the meeting, but a source told the paper: \u201cThere\u2019s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"507\" width=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SEI239536542.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3803028\"  \/>The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left royal life to live in California after the split.
