Eagle-eyed fans believe\u00a0Meghan Markle<\/a> may have accidentally slipped up during a recent interview with Hollywood<\/a> actress Drew Barrymore. In a resurfaced clip, Meghan appeared to fumble her words while describing her kids\u2019 bedtime routine while travelling, seemingly admitting that she has hired help putting the kids to bed, rather than using Prince Harry,<\/a> before quickly correcting herself. But viewers spotted the slip and are now accusing her of trying to quickly cover her tracks.<\/p>\n

Meghan said: \u201cI always make it a point when I\u2019m travelling when I can\u2019t do bedtime stories with my kids, because Archie and Lilibet are just three and five, so I\u2019ll always pack a really thin book and I\u2019ll tape myself reading it so whoever\u2019s with them\u2026 papa\u2019s with them, can say \u2018there\u2019s mama reading a bedtime story.\u2019\u201d The original interview aired during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, but it’s Meghan’s wording that\u2019s now getting attention \u2014 especially her momentary hesitation before correcting \u201cwhoever\u2019s with them\u201d to \u201cpapa”.<\/p>\n

One fan commented: \u201cShe tripped up. “So whoever’s with them….or, um, Poppa can say to them.” Busted!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another wrote: \u201cThe recovery is slow\u2026 oh, papa reads to them\u2026 oh dear.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe made a gross SLIP UP MISTAKE,\u201d said a third, adding: \u201c’Whoever is with them.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Others weren\u2019t convinced by the correction, adding: \u201cShe also said \u2018send them to whoever is with them\u2019 \u2014 that\u2019s like a lot of people.”<\/p>\n

Another added: \u201cIt looks like she\u2019s about to say \u2018so the nanny\u2019 but stops herself to say \u2018whoever is with them, papa.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Critics also took issue with how rehearsed the moment seemed. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t make any sense,\u201d one viewer said. \u201cIt is like everything Markle does is scripted.\u201d<\/p>\n

The full quote came during a segment in which Meghan tried to express the importance of \u201cshowing up\u201d for one another, saying, \u201cYou find ways to show up for each other.<\/p>\n

And if that\u2019s the one thing I can convey through the show or through As Ever as a brand, it\u2019s I want you to know you can show up for each other because you know how good it feels when someone shows up for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The resurfaced bedtime clip is just the latest moment fuelling public doubt over Meghan\u2019s authenticity \u2014 with royal insiders now backing claims that Prince William<\/a> had concerns about her from the start.<\/p>\n

Royal biographer Phil Dampier recently told The Sun<\/a> that William saw right through what he called Meghan\u2019s \u201cstepping stone\u201d plan to use Prince Harry<\/a> for fame.<\/p>\n
