Edinburgh residents <\/a>have been warned of ‘heavy downpour’ that could be on the way after days of warmth.<\/p>\n

The Met Office<\/a> has said cooler temperatures will move in by Sunday evening, and while Monday morning might start with some sun – things are set to take a turn. At around 10am, heavy rain will begin and continue throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Tuesday will bring ‘sunny spells with showers’, along with temperatures of around 19C. This comes after temperatures <\/a>peaked at 28C over the weekend.<\/p>\n

According to the BBC, thundery conditions will hit at around 1pm on July 14. They’ve predicted a ‘band of showery rain’ along with a ‘risk of thunder’.<\/p>\n

The Met Office forecast for Sunday evening reads: “Clouding over across Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders this evening, remaining cloudy overnight.<\/p>\n

“Clear across the southwest with evening sunshine but clouding over here later in the night. Minimum temperature 14C.”<\/p>\n

Looking ahead to Monday, they added: “Outbreaks of rain, occasionally heavy, will spread northeast for a time in the morning and early afternoon.<\/p>\n

“Then becoming dry and eventually brighter. Warm. Maximum temperature 20C.”<\/p>\n

BBC Weather had similar predictions. Looking to Monday, they said: “A fresher day with a band of showery rain pushing northeastwards, with a risk of thunder.<\/p>\n
