Liverpool new boy Jeremie Frimpong has reacted to a major Sheffield Wednesday departure amid the Championship club\u2019s financial struggles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because Owls owner Dejphon Chansiri failed to pay his staff and player wages on time, or in some cases at all, in both May and June, Sheffield Wednesday stars can leave on a free<\/a> transfer, subject to a 15-day notice period, regardless of the length of their contract. <\/p>\n

But despite the ongoing saga in South Yorkshire, and being heavily linked with a move away from the Championship side, boss Danny Rohl recently returned to first-team training after missing the start of pre-season. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, former Leeds United and Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s Inside Track podcast that Rangers are well placed to sign Josh Windass<\/a> amid Wednesday\u2019s struggles.<\/p>\n

Winger Anthony Musaba helped Rohl\u2019s men land a mid-table spot in the Championship<\/a> last season by notching three goals and six assists in the second tier. <\/p>\n

But the Owls will have to adjust to life without the 24-year-old next term, following his move to Turkish outfit Samsunspor. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Super Lig side revealed their move for the former Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> man via Instagram on Saturday, 12 June: \u201cOur club signed a 4-year deal with Dutch footballer Anthony Musaba. We welcome you, Anthony!\u201d<\/p>\n

Samsunspor\u2019s announcement received a like from fellow Dutchman Frimpong, who is set to make his Premier League debut for Liverpool in August.<\/p>\n

Consequently, Musaba will not be the only talented player to leave the Championship outfit this summer, which will only make life more difficult for Rohl\u2019s men as they attempt to prepare for next season.<\/p>\n

Amid Rangers\u2019 aforementioned interest in Windass, the likes of Barry Bannan and Callum Paterson could also move to pastures new<\/a> after their respective Sheffield Wednesday contracts expired.<\/p>\n

The Owls now find themselves on the brink of a mass exodus, meaning that next season will likely play witness to a relegation battle in South Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Matters were looking up for Rohl\u2019s side when they finished 12th in the Championship last season, but off-field issues are now taking their toll.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
