Picture: Google Maps<\/p>\n<p>The 13,000 sq ft children\u2019s activity centre has play frames, slides, a sensory room, an artificial football pitch, and a cafe. It is also a popular venue for birthday parties.<\/p>\n<p>But in an email to one customer yesterday, the company said: \u201cI am afraid that your party booking will not be going ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is due to the landlord terminating our lease with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been closed down and are no longer able to operate. We realise that this is a huge inconvenience, but the matter was taken out of our hands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are extremely sorry for this news and the disappointment this will bring.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019m devastated because my son was also supposed to have his birthday there<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe will be closing the company and attempting to reimburse anything we can once the closure has been completed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A sign has also reportedly been put up at the door stating: \u201cPlease do not enter this unit without the landlord\u2019s approval\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the centre, which was previously owned by Play Centres Limited, <a href=\"https:\/\/kentonline.co.uk\/maidstone\/news\/soft-play-centre-reassures-customers-after-filing-for-admini-290061\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed for administration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It was then taken on by new owners.<\/p>\n<p>The soft play has been approached for more information.<\/p>\n<p>The closure has sparked a mixed reaction on social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat about the deposit you paid?\u201d asked one Facebook user.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m devastated because my son was also supposed to have his birthday there, and I paid a deposit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another added: \u201cOh, that\u2019s such a shame, my little one loved it there.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A town centre soft play has closed suddenly due to reported lease issues.
