Manchester United said goodbye to Adam Lawrence this summer, and could soon see him join a Premier League rival.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim\u2019s<\/a> first-team coaching staff looks pretty settled as he heads into his first full Premier League season.<\/p>\n

Amorim has seen major changes to the development ranks, though, with Under-21 assistant coach David Hughes becoming Newport County<\/a> boss this summer.<\/p>\n

Paul McShane has followed Lee Grant to Huddersfield Town<\/a>, and Under-18 coach Adam Lawrence decided to leave United<\/a> for other opportunities.<\/p>\n

Add in that director of academy Nick Cox left United for Everton<\/a>, and there have been major changes at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

David Horseman is joining United<\/a> to reunite with Jason Wilcox and replace Hughes, while Lawrence is now in the mix for a Premier League job.<\/p>\n

Lawrence first joined United in 2021, moving from the Charlton Athletic academy ranks, having previously coached at Millwall.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old spent four-and-a-half successful years at Old Trafford, but decided the time was right for a new challenge.<\/p>\n

Lawrence has yet to finalise a move elsewhere, but his next destination could become clear very soon.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail\u2019s Craig Hope reports that Lawrence is now in the running to become the new Under-21 boss at Newcastle United.<\/p>\n

Lawrence is one of four candidates to make the final cut, with Newcastle Under-21 assistant Robbie Stockdale in contention too.<\/p>\n

Diarmuid O\u2019Carroll recently left his post as Newcastle Under-21 coach in order to join Sparta Prague.<\/p>\n

Lawrence could now land the job, marking the career step-up he has been seeking after leaving Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

United have already found a replacement for Adam Lawrence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lawrence\u2019s exit was a blow, and it may sting to see him join a Premier League rival this summer.<\/p>\n

United haven\u2019t waited around, though, and have already moved for his replacement.<\/p>\n

Darren Fletcher has been chosen as United\u2019s next Under-18 coach<\/a>, though a deal has yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n

Jonny Evans is now United\u2019s loan manager<\/a>, so Fletcher could join him in having a major say in United\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Fletcher certainly knows the experience of a United talent coming up through the ranks, and will look to use that knowledge to aid him in his new role.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
