(Picture: Getty)<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s one of the hottest names in showbiz right now, and it looks like <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/sydney-sweeney\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sydney Sweeney<\/a> is in the running for the biggest role of her career.<\/p>\n<p>The blonde bombshell rose to fame in <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/the-handmaids-tale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/a>, later gaining wider recognition in <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/euphoria\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Euphoria<\/a> and <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/the-white-lotus\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The White Lotus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And with huge roles like the female lead in Anyone But You <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/05\/01\/gossip-sydney-sweeney-co-stars-sexist-23009334\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opposite Glen Powell<\/a> and a viral moment in the divisive superhero flick Madame Web, it\u2019s no surprise that her name has fallen onto the desks of James Bond bosses.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, Sydney is rumoured to be a contender for the next Bond Girl.<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, but she already has the backing of Jeff Bezos, whose Amazon acquired creative control of the 007 franchise earlier this year, taking over from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G.
