Snow Patrol have paid tribute to Glasgow as a \u201cbig part of our story\u201d as Scotland\u2019s biggest music festival TRNSMT<\/a> comes to an end.<\/p>\n

Fans who braved temperatures of up to 30C gave the band a warm welcome in Glasgow as lead singer Gary Lightbody <\/a>told the audience that Glasgow was a \u201cbig part of our life\u201d and a \u201cbig part of our story\u201d.<\/p>\n

He said playing in the city \u201calways feels like coming home<\/a>\u201d, with some of their big hits having been written in Scotland.<\/p>\n

Gracie Abrams,<\/a> the second last act, also shared her love for Glasgow during her set, which saw thousands singing along to some of her viral hits from the past few years.<\/p>\n

She told the hyped crowd: \u201cMy name is Gracie Abrams and I\u2019ve missed you so much, We love being in your city so much. All of these songs are love letters with you. Glasgow<\/a> I love you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer, who is dating Gladiator 2 star Paul Mescal, said the response from the fans<\/a> had given her \u201cchills\u201d.<\/p>\n

Her song I Love You, I’m Sorry got some of the biggest responses of the entire festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Abrams, whose dad JJ Abrams was in the city last month filming the film Ghostwriter, said her festival<\/a> slot in Glasgow was her last one in Europe \u201cfor a long time\u201d.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI wanna say thank you for everything. Getting to come and tour<\/a> is one of the best experiences of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans shared their experience from TRNSMT<\/a>. Eleanora, 17, and her two friends came to Sunday\u2019s show to see Abrams.<\/p>\n

She described TRNSMT as \u201cthe most amazing experience<\/a> you\u2019ll ever have\u201d, while her friend Lauren Wilkie, 17, said it was \u201ca pure blast\u201d.<\/p>\n

Niamh, 17, said: \u201cFontaines DC <\/a>have been the best so far, I have to say. Just the general atmosphere, it\u2019s so fun seeing people dressed up. Fontaines were actually insane. Our group was just jumping around getting pushed about but it was so good, we loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kira McCaffery, 20, said the atmosphere this weekend was \u201cabsolutely electric<\/a>\u201d, adding: \u201cI have loved it this year. The sun has been splitting the sky.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her friend, Mia Moohan, 22, said she was \u201cbuzzing\u201d to see Abrams. She praised this year\u2019s line-up,<\/a> saying there was \u201cmore going on\u201d for festival-goers.<\/p>\n

Ms McCaffery said there was \u201csomething<\/a> for everyone\u201d.<\/p>\n

Friends Matthew Turner, 17, Mitchell Mure, 18, and Liam, 16, were less impressed with the line-up.<\/a><\/p>\n

Asked if they were sad the festival<\/a> was coming to an end, they all said: \u201cNot really, no.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mitchell added: \u201cIt was so much better<\/a> last year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked why, he pointed to the stage<\/a> and said: \u201cLook at it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cLast year we went for Calvin Harris <\/a>and now it\u2019s Gracie Abrams. It\u2019s not as good as last year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amber Hannah, 19, said attending TRNSMT<\/a> this year was her first ever festival.<\/p>\n

She said the festival was \u201c10 out of 10\u201d and said 50 Cent was the best act<\/a>, echoing the opinion of lots of fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was unreal,\u201d she said. \u201cJust phenomenal. It was better than I thought it would have been. The atmosphere<\/a> was good. I\u2019m here today to see Snow Patrol I\u2019m so excited.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe vibe<\/a> has been good, the atmosphere has been good and it\u2019s cooler today so more enjoyable.\u201d<\/p>\n
