US President Donald Trump has launched a global trade war with an array of tariffs that target individual products and countries.<\/p>\n
Mr Trump has set a baseline tariff of 10% on all imports to the United States, as well as additional duties on certain products or countries.<\/p>\n
Here is a list of targeted tariffs he has implemented or threatened to put in place:<\/p>\n
Product tariffs in effect:<\/b><\/p>\n
Steel and aluminum – 50%<\/p>\n
Autos and auto parts – 25%<\/p>\n
Product tariffs – threatened:<\/b><\/p>\n
Copper – 50% to take effect on 1 August<\/p>\n
Pharmaceuticals – up to 200%<\/p>\n
Semiconductors – 25% or higher<\/p>\n
Movies – 100%<\/p>\n
Timber and lumber<\/p>\n
Critical minerals<\/p>\n
Aircraft, engines and parts<\/p>\n
Country tariffs in effect:<\/b><\/p>\n
Canada – 10% on energy products, 25% for other products not covered by the US-Canada-Mexico Agreement<\/p>\n
Mexico – 25% for products not covered by USMCA<\/p>\n
China – 30%, with additional tariffs on some products<\/p>\n
UK – 10%, with some auto and metal imports exempt from higher global rates<\/p>\n
Vietnam – 20% for some products, 40% on transshipments from third countries<\/p>\n
