\n\t\u201cTed Lasso<\/a>\u201d star Hannah Waddingham<\/a> says she\u2019s been thinking a lot about what her character Rebecca Welton has been up to since the Apple TV+ Series finished its third and, as many involved thought, seemingly final season. <\/p>\n

\n\tWell, she\u2019s about to find out. A fourth season<\/a> will soon begin shooting. The streamer announced in March that the soccer comedy had been renewed.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt feels like it was the most beautiful, beloved dog that was buried, and now we\u2019ve exhumed it, and I am here for it,\u201d Waddingham told me Sunday at the \u201cSmurfs\u201d premiere in Los Angeles<\/a>. \u201cI was hankering and hankering and hankering and hankering to see where Rebecca had gone, where she was going to. She\u2019s my girl. She\u2019s in my bloodstream, so I\u2019m thrilled that it\u2019s been exhumed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJason Sudeikis, who will return as soccer coach Lasso, said in a statement at the time of the renewal announcement, \u201cAs we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to \u2018look before we leap, In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it\u2019s exactly where they\u2019re meant to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso returning are Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt.<\/p>\n

\n\tGoldstein said during an appearance on Variety\u2019s Awards Circuit in June<\/a>, \u201cObviously, I can\u2019t tell you a single thing about it, of course, but we\u2019re working on it, and it\u2019s good. It\u2019s exciting to have everyone back together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTed Lasso\u201d was nominated for 61 Emmy Awards during its run, winning 13. That includes back-to-back wins in the best comedy series category, as well as consecutive wins for Sudeikis and Goldstein.<\/p>\n

\n\tWaddingham\u2019s latest project after \u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning\u201d is \u201cSmurfs<\/a>,\u201d in which she voices an evil wizard. \u201cI was really happy to be part of this because my daughter\u2019s just about to turn 11, and I\u2019m not gonna lie, I\u2019m a pretty cool mom right now,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe adopted a gravelly voice for her character: \u201cIt absolutely mangled my voice senseless. It was my own fault for offering it up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSmurfs,\u201d directed by Chris Miller, is in theaters Friday.<\/p>\n
