Carlos Alcaraz is continuing to be compared to some of the biggest names in ATP history.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alcaraz was unable to beat Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon final<\/a>, as he suffered his first ever defeat in the final of a major.<\/p>\n

This confirmed that Roger Federer has kept a record over Alcaraz<\/a>, who remains on five Grand Slam titles.<\/p>\n

Now Naomi Osaka\u2019s coach, Patrick Mouratoglou<\/a>, has revealed who he thinks has the higher level out of the two multiple-time major winners.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the Wimbledon<\/a> final, Mouratoglou<\/a> released a video on his Instagram comparing the games of Alcaraz and Federer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While explaining their similarities, Mouratoglou declared that Alcaraz<\/a> has a better level than Federer<\/a> did, claiming that the level of tennis is constantly improving every era.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I say that Carlos plays the same way as Roger, but just better level because it\u2019s new generations and tennis evolves,\u201d claimed the Frenchman. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I mean is they have the same type of game. Incredible forehand moving around the backhand, a very complete game using everything, drop shots, sometimes return volley, quite often serve and volley. Trying to dominate, taking the ball early, coming to the net, following at the net every time he has the opportunity to. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a complete game. Who does that on tour? Not many players, it\u2019s very rare. A lot of players technically would know how to do it, but they don\u2019t really dare doing it during the matches. <\/p>\n

\u201cCarlos and Roger have the same concept of tennis, of course with different styles. Roger is more fluid, of course, and he will always probably be the smoothest player that ever played. But it\u2019s the same type of tennis, that\u2019s what I mean.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carlos Alcaraz vs Roger Federer\u2019s achievements at 22-years-old<\/p>\n

Alcaraz is already a five-time Grand Slam champion at 22 years and two months, and was the youngest world number one in history at 19 years and five months after winning the 2022 US Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This is even more than Federer at the same age, who would become world number one for the first time at 22 years and six months.<\/p>\n

Although it is currently unknown how long Alcaraz and his biggest rival Sinner<\/a> will play for until they retire, they are both currently on a trajectory to reach similar numbers to the likes of Federer, Rafael Nadal<\/a> and Novak Djokovic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The next Grand Slam tournament they will be eyeing up is the US Open, where Sinner is the defending champion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
