WHILE all eyes were on Harry and the King’s spin doctors together having fun in the sun, it\u2019s more revealing to see who wasn\u2019t there.<\/p>\n

The King\u2019s<\/a> director of communications Tobyn Andreae turned up with a bottle as a gift for Sussex aides Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire – but Prince William\u2019s<\/a> communications chief Lee Thompson was not present.<\/p>\n

Prince William’s team has been left out of talks, howeverCredit: Reuters<\/p>\n

While offers were made and invites accepted between Montecito and Buckingham Palace<\/a> there was not a seat at the members club balcony for anyone from Team William.<\/p>\n

Worse still, they had not even been invited.<\/p>\n

Harry<\/a> has made it clear he wants to bond with his father again but no offers are made to William.<\/p>\n

The Sussexes appear to be offering the hand of friendship but are they actually trying to force a wedge between the King and the future King?<\/p>\n

If they can get the King onside then they can isolate William. <\/p>\n

Divide and rule.<\/p>\n

William is right to stick to his guns as he is in a better head space now, is no longer seething and has moved on – but is still waiting for Harry to apologise.<\/p>\n

While Harry ‘love-bombs’ his father – who has not locked the door or thrown away the key to reconciliation – let’s not forget it has been his older brother who has consistently made big gestures.<\/p>\n

It was William who kindly took him and Kate out of the Royal<\/a> procession at Harry and Meghan’s<\/a> final royal engagement, the 2020 Commonwealth Day ceremony, after learning the Sussexes had also been removed.<\/p>\n

It was William who stood shoulder to shoulder with Harry to unveil a statue of Princess Diana<\/a> at Kensington Palace less than three months after the Oprah Winfrey<\/a> interview.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry is totally whipped by Meghan, even the King knows it – she\u2019ll hate his reduced status now<\/p>\n

It was William who agreed to wear a morning suit at Prince Philip’s <\/a>funeral instead of military uniform to spare Harry\u2019s blushes.<\/p>\n

It was William who invited Harry and Meghan to join him and Kate to look at flowers left in Windsor for Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> after he death in a show of unity.<\/p>\n

And it has never been William who has publicly trashed his family.<\/p>\n

The King and Prince William should hopefully see through any attempt to divide them and they must stick together.<\/p>\n
