\n\tEXCLUSIVE: <\/strong>London-based production company Finite Films & TV has opened a new base in Northern Ireland<\/a>\u2018s capital of Belfast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe operation is being set up and run by producer Chiara Giavarini with a remit to focus on international talents and co-productions.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn one of its first activities, it will be the U.K. production office for an international co-production, the details of which are under wraps, due to be shot just outside Belfast\u00a0at the end of the summer.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the meantime, Finite Films & TV has also officially announced its involvement in psychological horror The\u00a0Fears, written and directed by Andrew\u00a0Gunn. It will be his first feature after a raft of high-profile TV directorial credits including Doctor Who, Life\u00a0on Mars, Survivors and Primeval.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Fears<\/a> is set against the backdrop of an oppressive Immigration Detention Center. When it\u00a0becomes infected\u00a0with a mysterious illness causing\u00a0mass hysteria, an interpreter at the center battles to protect a newly arrived orphan as well as find her way back to her three-year-old daughter at the other side of the facility before it\u2019s too late.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature, which is currently in development, is scheduled to shoot in Northern Ireland in 2026. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFinite Films & TV\u2019s expansion into Northern Ireland comes amid the UK region\u2019s push to become a global creative hub, with recent developments including the opening of virtual production facility Studio Ulster <\/a>in June. \u00a0<\/p>\n
