{"id":266552,"date":"2025-07-16T12:07:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T12:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/266552\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T12:07:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T12:07:12","slug":"man-rushed-to-hospital-following-elderslie-crash-involving-bus-and-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/266552\/","title":{"rendered":"Man rushed to hospital following Elderslie crash involving bus and car"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The driver of the red Honda was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow following the incident.<\/p>\n<p>12:31, 16 Jul 2025Updated 12:45, 16 Jul 2025<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_DNP_PDE_150725rta_02JPG.jpg\" alt=\"Police on the scene\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Police on the scene(Image: Andrew Neil)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A man was rushed to hospital following a crash in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RenfrewshireLive\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Renfrewshire<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The incident involved a car and a bus around 1.55pm on Main Road in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/elderslie\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Elderslie<\/a> and resulted in a busy stretch of road being closed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The driver of the car, a 54-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and the 51-year-old female passenger was checked at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">There are no other reported injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The road was closed between the junction for Glenpatrick Road and to the roundabout for Linwood Road and the A761. The roundabout was not closed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A passer-by told the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/paisley\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Paisley Daily Express:<\/a> \u201cEven two hours after the crash, it looked quite serious. Police were putting up more tape to extend the cordon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThere were lots of police cars and emergency services. It\u2019s such a busy road and it is shut both ways, it\u2019s causing absolute chaos, especially at this time of day as rush hour approaches.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The road was reopened shortly before 8pm.
