\n\tToronto rapper Top5<\/a> found himself at the center of a violent incident over the weekend after being stabbed in London following Drake<\/a>\u2019s headlining performance at the annual Wireless Festival.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the Toronto Star<\/a>, the attack occurred shortly after Drake closed out his three-day takeover of the festival, with Top5 reportedly engaging with fans near the festival grounds before the assault unfolded.<\/p>\n

\n\tInitial accounts<\/a> suggested that Top5, born Hassan Ali<\/a>, was ambushed near the stage by a masked individual. However, the Metropolitan Police provided a different version of events.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to their statement, \u201cofficers were called to Springpark Drive near the festival grounds at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Monday (July 14), where Top5 was found after having been beaten and stabbed by a group of individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to the stabbing, the suspects allegedly vandalized the OVO affiliate\u2019s<\/a> vehicle, \u201csmashing its windshield during the assault,\u201d police confirmed. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Sun<\/a> reported a statement from a police spokesperson, noting, \u201cThe victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Inquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFortunately, Top5\u2019s injuries were not life-threatening, with reports confirming, \u201cno arteries were hit in the attempt on his life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe attack came just hours after Top5 reportedly<\/a> appeared on a livestream, where he taunted London street culture by claiming, \u201cthere are no real killers in London.\u201d Some speculate his remarks may have provoked the brutal assault.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis latest incident adds to a growing list of controversies surrounding Top5. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe rapper was released from prison in 2024 after being charged as the alleged triggerman in a 2021 fatal shooting\u2014charges that were ultimately dropped due to lack of evidence<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, in January 2025, he was arrested again on firearms charges.<\/p>\n
