Emma Watson<\/a> has been banned from driving for six months, one year after she was caught speeding in Oxford.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old actress was clocked driving 38mph in a 30mph zone by a speeding camera located on Banbury Road on the evening of July 31 last year.<\/p>\n

Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter<\/a> film franchise, was made to pay a total of \u00a31,044 at High Wycombe Magistrates\u2019 Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

She already had nine points on her licence before the speeding incident occurred, the court heard.<\/p>\n

The Little Women star, who is currently undergoing a PhD in creative writing<\/a> at the University of Oxford, did not attend the five-minute hearing.<\/p>\n

According to the Mirror<\/a>, Watson plead guilty to the charges in March.<\/p>\n

Months before the incident in Oxford, her Audi S3 sports car was towed by police after it was parked illegally in the city centre.<\/p>\n

It was reported at the time<\/a> she failed to notice the ‘No Parking’ sign when she left her \u00a330,000 vehicle and met up with friends at a pub across the street.<\/p>\n

A local pizza restaurant manager claimed to have been stuck behind the Hollywood actress’ car for three and half hours before police took it away.<\/p>\n

Separately, one of Watson’s co-stars in the Harry Potter franchise was previously banned from driving in the same court.<\/p>\n

Zoe Wanamaker, who starred in The Philosopher\u2019s Stone in 2001 as teacher Madam Hooch, was caught speeding on August 7, 2024,<\/a> on the M4 in Newbury, Berkshire.<\/p>\n

The 76-year-old drove her blue Volvo at 46mph in a 40mph limit, the court heard.<\/p>\n
