The team behind the company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.picoxr.com\/global\/products\/pico4-ultra\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener\">Pico 4<\/a> VR headset is reportedly developing a smaller, lighter wearable for mixed reality. It&#8217;s said to be similar in its feature set to <a href=\"https:\/\/lifehacker.com\/tech\/biggest-rumors-for-next-generation-of-meta-smart-glasses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meta&#8217;s upcoming AR smart glasses<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>ByteDance&#8217;s goggles are rumored to be about the size of <a href=\"https:\/\/store.bigscreenvr.com\/products\/bigscreen-beyond-2\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener\">BigScreen Beyond&#8217;s VR goggles<\/a>, which weigh about 100 grams. Like Meta&#8217;s Orion prototype, the computational heavy-lifting will be mainly done in a separate puck. Unlike the Orion, the extra device will attach to the goggles via a wire.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no word yet on whether the device will be released under the Pico brand, or even when it will launch.
