(Photo Illustration by Thomas Fuller\/SOPA Images\/LightRocket via Getty Images)\" decoding=\"sync\"\/><br \/>\n\t\tReddit has gone down for thousands of users (Pictures: 2025 SOPA Images)<\/p>\n<p>Social media giants <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/reddit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reddit\u00a0<\/a>have said it was looking into \u2018elevated error rates\u2019, after Downdetector.com showed more than 150,000 users globally.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/us-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US<\/a> alone, there were more than 133,948 people reporting issues with the platform, according to Downdetector, a website which tracks outages.<\/p>\n<p>At it\u2019s peak around 5pm in the UK nearly 17,000 Brits reported issues on the aggregator.<\/p>\n<p>Reddit had also\u00a0experienced\u00a0an outage last month which affected nearly 31,000 users.<\/p>\n<p>The San Francisco-based company has consistently ranked in the top 10 for most used websites in the world.
