Wakefield Trinity have confirmed a new signing for 2026.<\/p>\n

Wakefield Trinity have once again dipped into the Queensland Cup market with the signing of Tray Lolesio on a two-year deal from 2026.<\/p>\n

Recruitment manager Ste Mills believes the club’s latest signing will \u201cexcite\u201d fans, with the forward set to make the switch from the Redcliffe Dolphins.<\/p>\n

Lolesio, 22, has made 24 appearances for the Queensland Cup side across two seasons, quickly catching the attention of Wakefield Trinity.<\/p>\n

Wakefield’s recruitment manager, Mills, said: “We\u2019re absolutely thrilled to bring Tray on board. He\u2019s been outstanding in the Queensland Cup – strong, skilful, and full of energy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see real potential in him, and we\u2019re confident he\u2019ll thrive here at Wakefield Trinity and excite our fans.”<\/p>\n

On his new Super League move, Lolesio commented: \u201cI\u2019m proud to be joining Wakefield from 2026. I\u2019m extremely grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to come and ply my trade over in the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can see the ambition of where the club is going and I can\u2019t wait to be part of something great.”<\/p>\n

It continues Wakefield\u2019s trend of signing obscure overseas players, with Caius Faatili quickly establishing himself as a fan favourite at the DIY Kitchens Stadium since his arrival from Sunshine Coast Falcons.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have had great success in signing young middle unit players from Australia and we feel Tray is going to have the same impact for us,\u201d head coach Daryl Powell added.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a quality go forward player with a great work ethic who will complement our pack superbly. I look forward to seeing Tray in the Wakefield colours next season.\u201d<\/p>\n
