Noel Gallagher issued a message to fans at Heaton Park(Image: Big Brother Recordings)<\/p>\n
Noel Gallagher has issued a five-word message to Oasis fans during their Heaton Park<\/a> gig this evening.<\/p>\n Marking the third out of five homecoming shows this year, the band performed in front of a crowd of 50,000 devoted fans on Wednesday night (July 16). There were also hundreds more who gathered outside the concert area near to \u2018Gallagher Hill\u2019 to hear the show as it happened.<\/p>\n During their set, Liam and Noel performed more than 20 songs made up of b-sides, fan favourites and number one anthems, which earned a sea of chants from those in attendance.<\/p>\n Halfway through the show, Noel gave a shout-out to the homecoming crowd and said: \u201cNobody\u2019s got fans like this.\u201d<\/p>\n Stay connected with our City Life newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Reiterating his message, he added: \u201cNobody\u2019s got fans like this. No one. Nobody.\u201d<\/p>\n As expected, the comments received a huge reaction from fans – made up of cheers and applause.<\/p>\n And the Oasis fandom is also made up of some very famous faces, with many having attended the Heaton Park shows last weekend. Alongside the likes of Vernon Kay,<\/a> Manchester City FC manager Pep Guardiola was pictured backstage <\/a>before being seen amongst the crowds on Friday night’s show.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, fans who didn\u2019t have a ticket to the Oasis show were advised not to head to Heaton Park for tonight\u2019s gig. Despite that, hundreds headed to a space outside of Heaton Park which has been dubbed \u2018Gallagher Hill\u2019.<\/p>\n The area was fenced off by organisers earlier this week as part of a safety precaution, and said in a statement that \u2018additional measures have now been deemed necessary and will be in place for the next three Oasis concerts\u2019.<\/p>\n First discovered during the first Heaton Park shows last week, Oasis fans were seen at Gallagher Hill singing along to songs and holding hands.
