On that trip, he <a class=\"interallink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketplace.org\/story\/2019\/03\/28\/what-brexit-means-business\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">met Samantha Wallace<\/a>, co-owner of From Field and Flower, a honey shop at the Borough Market.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since their first meeting in 2019, Ryssdal has checked in with Wallace through <a class=\"interallink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketplace.org\/story\/2020\/04\/29\/in-londons-lockdown-a-small-honey-retailer-navigates-online-sales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the COVID-19 lockdown<\/a>, <a class=\"interallink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketplace.org\/story\/2021\/12\/07\/brexit-import-changes-are-still-painful-for-london-honey-seller-after-2-years\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the aftermath of Brexit<\/a>, and <a class=\"interallink\" href=\"http:\/\/marketplace.org\/story\/2022\/07\/05\/even-a-london-honey-stall-is-caught-up-in-britains-historically-high-inflation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">high inflation<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During a trip to London this month for the \u201cMarketplace\u201d series <a class=\"interallink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketplace.org\/age-of-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201dThe Age of Work,\u201d<\/a> Ryssdal\u2019s first stop was From Field and Flower to catch up with Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>Her business just hit its 10-year anniversary, but she said she still worries about her business\u2019 survival \u2014 in part because honey is so dependent on temperature and rain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the balance is just not right, we either don\u2019t get any honey at all and the bees starve, or we get an excess of honey,\u201d she said. \u201cHow do we make it cover its costs?
