Emile Heskey has urged Liverpool<\/a> to sign one of Arsenal<\/a>\u2019s transfer targets if they decide to cash in on Luis Diaz<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

The Colombian has been the subject of interest from Barcelona<\/a>\u00a0and Bayern Munich<\/a> this summer after lifting the Premier League title with Liverpool last season.<\/p>\n

The English club\u00a0rebuffed an approach from Barca<\/a>\u00a0earlier in the summer and in recent days have turned down a \u00a358.6million bid from Bayern.<\/a><\/p>\n

Liverpool are said to be in no hurry to sell Diaz this summer, who they value at \u20ac100m (\u00a386.8m), but the 28-year-old winger is said to be keen for a new challenge.<\/p>\n

With two years still to run on his contract, this summer could prove the ideal time to cash in on Diaz, and former Reds striker Heskey believes a move could well be in Liverpool\u2019s interest.<\/p>\n

\u2018If Bayern Munich step up and are paying the right price, then I think it has to be considered,\u2019 he told BestBettingSites.co.uk<\/a>. \u2018Everyone is available if the price is right.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think it would be decent business if they could get a good offer in and move him on, but then the next thing to consider is who to get him in.\u2019<\/p>\n

Liverpool have already spent heavily this summer, but would be expected to dip back into the market for a replacement to Diaz should the Colombian leave.<\/p>\n

And Heskey reckons the Merseyside club should consider a move for Anthony Gordon to provide a similar pace and dynamism to Diaz down the left flank.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019d give you someone direct, who still understands how to take players on and beat them. <\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s a winger who gives you width and gets to the byline, who can entertain.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019ve lost that a bit and Anthony is a bit of a throwback to earlier times, but his dribbling and direct attacking gets fans off their seats.\u2019<\/p>\n

Liverpool attempted to sign Gordon from Newcastle last summer<\/a>\u00a0but were unable to reach an agreement.<\/p>\n

The England international scored six goals and registered five assists in the Premier League last season and was among\u00a0Arsenal\u2019s list of transfer targets this summer<\/a> as they look for greater depth in wide attacking positions.<\/p>\n

The Gunners are already closing in on the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea<\/a> to provide more depth on the flanks.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta\u2019s side have also been linked with Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, who has also been attracting interest from Liverpool in recent days.<\/a><\/p>\n
