A weather warning is set to come into force later this morning across parts of Northern Ireland<\/a>.<\/p>\n The yellow thunderstorm alert issued by the Met Office<\/a> will be in place from 11am on Thursday, July 17, until 8pm on the same day.<\/p>\n The warning covers parts of Co Armagh<\/a>, Co Fermanagh<\/a>, Co Derry<\/a> and Co Tyrone<\/a> and parts of Co Antrim<\/a>.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Where to park for The Open Championship 2025<\/a>READ MORE: Rory McIlroy steps out in green jacket in public for first time on home soil to collect award<\/a><\/p>\n The forecaster said: “Heavy showers<\/a> and a few thunderstorms may cause some disruption, particularly to travel, on Thursday.”<\/p>\n Giving further details, it added: “Showery rain will affect much of Northern Ireland at times Thursday, but is expected to be heaviest in the west. A few thunderstorms are also likely. 10-20 mm of rain could fall in less than a few hours, with 30-40 mm possible over several hours.<\/p>\n “Showers and thunderstorms will ease from the west during the evening.”<\/p>\n You can check the weather for your area via the Windy.com tracker below.<\/strong><\/p>\n You can scroll to your chosen time at the bottom of the map.<\/p>\n The Met Office say it’s set to be a maximum temperature of 23C on Thursday.<\/p>\n For the outlook for Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20, the forecaster added: “Sunny spells and frequent showers, some heavy.
