After a protestor ran onto the finale of stage 11, an eyewitness tells us how an ASO dealt with him.<\/p>\n

\"Jonny<\/p>\n

Stage 11 of the Tour de France was coming down a two-up sprint between Uno-X Mobility’s Jonas Abrahamsen and Jayco-AlUla’s Mauro Schmid. Then a protestor ran out onto the course.<\/p>\n

As Abrahamsen found the last of the power in his legs to edge the sprint by a wheel’s length, an ASO employee had rushed out to corner and then rugby tackle a man wearing a t-shirt reading ‘Israel out of the Tour’ on it, back over the barriers from whence he came.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The ASO employee was the man ultimately responsible for the finish line area: St\u00e9phane Boury. He stands the closest of anyone to the finish line of a Tour de France stage, along with the contracted security staff, and reacted the quickest to deal with the protestor.<\/p>\n

After Boury had served the protestor a rough tackle back over the barriers, he started hitting him with his radio, according to those on the scene.<\/p>\n
