{"id":269435,"date":"2025-07-17T13:41:17","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T13:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/269435\/"},"modified":"2025-07-17T13:41:17","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T13:41:17","slug":"india-uk-likely-to-sign-trade-pact-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/269435\/","title":{"rendered":"India, UK likely to sign trade pact next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/india\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">India<\/a> and the UK are expected to sign the Free Trade Agreement (<a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/m.economictimes.com\/topic\/fta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FTA<\/a>) next week, a pact which aims to boost trade and investment between the two countries, an official said.<\/p>\n<p>The two countries announced the conclusion of the negotiations on May 6.<\/p>\n<p>It will remove taxes on the export of labour-intensive products such as leather, footwear and clothing, while making imports of whisky and cars from Britain cheaper, in a bid to double trade between the two economies to USD 120 billion by 2030.<br \/>&#8220;The process of legal scrubbing of the FTA text is going on.
