Rangers are reportedly set to raid Sheffield Wednesday yet again, this time for a new goalkeeper.<\/p>\n
Russell Martin <\/a>has already taken Djeidi Gassama<\/a> from the Owls in a \u00a32.2million deal.<\/p>\n And now the wide man cold be reunited with former Hillsborough teammate Pierce Charles.<\/p>\n The Northern Irish international keeper is on the Ibrox wanted list according to reports down south and is said to be keen on the move.<\/p>\n Martin had warned that it was a position he was looking to recruit in, although a loan move for Brighton’s Carl Rushworth won’t be happening.<\/p>\n Focus has now shifted to Charles, 19, as Martin looks to deepen his options between the sticks, having rotated between Liam Kelly and Jack Butland<\/a> so far during pre-season.<\/p>\n Charles has two years left in his Wednesday contract and made 13 appearance in total for the South Yorkshire club last season.<\/p>\n However, given the club’s well documented financial issues over the summer, they’ve had to shed a number of experienced players and Charles looks like being first choice for the 2025\/26 campaign.<\/p>\n He he admitted last month that there was nothing that could make him leave Wednesday this summer, so Rangers<\/a> may have a job on their hands convincing him to make the move to Glasgow.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t really pay any heed to it.
