Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after a teenager was allegedly sexually assaulted on a train.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old victim was sat on the Birmingham<\/a> International railway station service to Shrewsbury on 9.20pm, Thursday April 24, when a man sat next to him.<\/p>\n

The man then started talking to the youth, asking for his phone number and if he would like to go for a drink.<\/p>\n

The man is then said to have sexually assaulted him before getting off the train at Shrewsbury Station.<\/p>\n

British Transport Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to their investigation.<\/p>\n

BTP said: “Do you recognise this man?<\/p>\n

“Detectives investigating a sexual assault on a train from Birmingham International have released this CCTV image in connection.<\/p>\n

“At around 9.20pm on Thursday 24 April a 17-year-old boy was on a train from Birmingham International railway station to Shrewsbury.<\/p>\n

“A man sat next to him and began talking to him. He asked him for his phone number and to go for a drink before he later sexually assaulted him.<\/p>\n

“The man left the train at Shrewsbury.<\/p>\n

“Detectives believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation.<\/p>\n
