Canelo Alvarez is unlikely to face a heavy hitter, according to a skilled fighter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On September 13, the superstar will go to war with Terence Crawford<\/a> at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.<\/p>\n

While many are writing \u2018Bud\u2019 off, Bernard Hopkins says Crawford can beat Canelo<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Regardless, if the Mexican wins the bout, a former world champion would be shocked if he agrees to face one of the most dangerous competitors in the sport.<\/p>\n

With the heavy-handed fighter having produced such a tremendous performance, Paulie Malignaggi<\/a> thinks Canelo Alvarez<\/a> will steer clear of facing the Brit.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In a video uploaded to the Boxing Scene YouTube channel, he said: \u201cPersonally, I don\u2019t think Canelo will want a piece of a guy like this.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanelo\u2019s mindset of late, especially in recent years, has been to avoid the very dangerous guys and fight these mid-range contenders, where the names are respectable, but it\u2019s not the biggest threat.<\/p>\n

\u201cSheeraz, by doing what he just did, especially because Canelo has been in the ring with Berlanga and doesn\u2019t have to fight anybody he doesn\u2019t want to fight, he\u2019s got that kind of name and reputation and he\u2019s allowed to get away with it, I\u2019m not sure how much you would have to pay him to make him fight Sheeraz.\u201d<\/p>\n

Malignaggi isn\u2019t the only one who thinks Canelo won\u2019t face Sheeraz.<\/p>\n

A retired legend was equally impressed by the Englishman\u2019s display over the weekend.<\/p>\n
