I’m passionate about the scheme and would love every child to benefit – which they can, by taking just a few minutes to sign up.

“Reading is the foundation for learning and development, and by investing in this scheme, we’re giving every child the best possible start in life. We’re proud to continue funding the Imagination Library and to see the joy and confidence it brings to thousands of young readers across our communities.”

Children who are part of the Imagination Library are much more likely to be ready for school, with nearly 67 per cent achieving a good level of development by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage, compared to 55 per cent of those not registered. This shows the real, measurable difference the programme makes.

Cllr Julie Reed, cabinet member for independent families – children, added: “Seeing a child’s face light up when they receive their very own book in the post is truly special.

“We’re incredibly proud to support something that not only nurtures a love of reading but also strengthens the foundations of learning and family life in North Lincolnshire.”

The scheme is part of a global initiative but has been localised and made uniquely impactful in North Lincolnshire thanks to sustained council support.

The success of the programme is also a testament to the strong partnerships between the council, local hubs, libraries, schools, and families.

It is completely free to join North Lincolnshire’s Imagination library, but to receive a monthly book you must register. Siblings can register individually to each receive their own age-appropriate book every month.

Register now on the Imagination Library page of our website, or call into your local library or hub.

Earlier this year, the Imagination Library scheme in North Lincolnshire reached a significant milestone and delivered its one…

[3938
3444,389,2266,77,102599,756,28606,16,15
0":"post-270262","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-books","8":"tag-books","9":"tag-children","10":"tag-education","11":"tag-entertainment","12":"tag-imaginationlibrary","13":"tag-learning","14":"tag-reading","15":"tag-uk","16":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
