2026 Formula 1 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/tag\/red-bull-racing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Bull<\/a> will be fully expecting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/tag\/max-verstappen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max Verstappen<\/a> to stay exactly where he is, despite a difficult <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/formula-1-calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2025 F1 campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/drivers\/2025-formula-1-driver-contract-wage-expire-hamilton-verstappen-norris-and-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull until the end of the 2028 season<\/a>, but it might not be as straightforward as that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/news\/234-point-f1-driver-tried-to-get-out-of-his-current-team-for-2025-but-his-buyout-clause-was-too-high\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Red Bull are aware Verstappen has get-out clauses in his contract<\/a> that could allow him to move on as early as the end of the current campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The underperformance that Red Bull have displayed this href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/news\/mercedes-chairman-has-just-given-the-green-light-to-max-verstappen-demand-that-could-now-lead-to-red-bull-exit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mercedes have been linked with signing Verstappen<\/a>, and Toto Wolff and George Russell have alluded to discussions going on.<\/p>\n<p>However, nothing has been agreed yet, and other teams in the paddock would be happy to welcome the 27-year-old into the team if the opportunity arose.<\/p>\n<p>James Allen believes that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/tag\/aston-martin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aston Martin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/features\/2024-formula-1-most-valuable-teams-ferrari-mercedes-red-bull-mclaren-and-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">valued at \u00a31.6bn<\/a>, would be desperate to sign the four-time world champion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.f1oversteer.com\/tag\/lawrence-stroll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lawrence Stroll<\/a> has spent millions go from a situation where you\u2019re paying George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, who\u2019s doing it for kind of like pocket change and some meal tokens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going to put another 80 to 100 million dollars on your bottom line, cut your profits down and all the rest of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo that\u2019s a big, big decision. You don\u2019t need to move now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you do move now, then it is an act of faith, it\u2019s a big leap. It\u2019ll be interesting to see what he does. I suspect he will not move before next year.
