Wakefield Trinity head coach Daryl Powell<\/a> has provided a squad injury update, including for Tom Johnstone with Powell confirming the England winger is set to see a specialist.<\/strong><\/p>\n Johnstone didn\u2019t play in last Thursday\u2019s shock defeat against Hull FC<\/a> with the winger having suffered a groin injury in the resounding win over Catalans Dragons.<\/p>\n Despite scoring in that game, Johnstone ended up limping off and Powell has confirmed that he won\u2019t play this week and will have to see a specialist.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I should know a bit more today, but he\u2019s not available this week. Then we\u2019ll see where he is. Fingers crossed, he\u2019ll start to get back to fitness, but at the moment I haven\u2019t really got any timescales on that.\u201d<\/p>\n Jayden Myers played in his absence last week and could feature again this week, particularly in the absence of young outside back Pratt.<\/p>\n Wakefield Trinity welcome trio back as Powell confirms selection headache<\/p>\n Despite both Pratt and Johnstone missing the clash against Huddersfield, three key players were named to the 21-man squad<\/a> and Powell noted that it will actually force some selection headaches.<\/p>\n He explained: \u201cIn the squad, we\u2019ve got Renouf (Atoni), Matty Storton and Truey (Jake Trueman) so it gives us some more options there of what we\u2019ve looked like a couple of times this season, with more selection, more ability to select players in the team, so it\u2019s starting to look a little bit healthier.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a good challenge for me, really, to pick the right team and get that right when I\u2019ve got more options. Generally, I\u2019ve been just picking who\u2019s fit, so this is a little bit different.\u201d<\/p>\n Matty Storton is set to feature for the first time since March and it\u2019s expected that his minutes will be managed, with Powell confirming:\u00a0\u201cI think from a minutes perspective, then I\u2019ll just have to gauge it. He\u2019s an 80-minute player, generally, but whether he can do that tomorrow, we\u2019ll wait and see.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll have a rotation set up that we know exactly what we\u2019re going to do there. He\u2019s been great, he\u2019s trained well, he looks good, he looks handful, so I\u2019m looking forward to seeing him play again.\u201d<\/p>\n He also explained that there had been a \u2018harsher\u2019 review after the loss to Hull FC, in which Wakefield folded in the second half in an error-strewn performance.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was little bit harsher this week in our review,\u201d Powell stated, adding: \u201cI think there\u2019s been a response, and ultimately that\u2019s what it\u2019s all about. You don\u2019t get everything right.<\/p>\n \u201cOpposition sometimes too good for you, or your attitude is not in the right place. I just felt like we fell off a cliff a little bit there, a couple of different reasons why we lost that game.
