SIR Keir Starmer yesterday let another EU leader bash Brexit – as Brussels demanded more cash from Britain.<\/p>\n

The PM<\/a> sparked fury as he sat back and watched the German Chancellor<\/a> called the UK\u2019s divorce from Europe<\/a> \u201cdeplorable\u201d.<\/p>\n

Friedrich Merz said: \u201cIt is together that we respond to the major challenges of our time\u2026 the UK, and I personally deplore this deeply, decided to leave the European Union<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week Sir Keir stayed silent as \u201carrogant\u201d French President Emmanuel Macron blamed Brexit for the small boats crisis.<\/a><\/p>\n

The German Chancellor and PM were on a visit to Airbus offices in Stevenage, celebrating the signing of a new treaty aimed at cracking down on people smuggling and boosting defence cooperation.<\/p>\n

It came as new documents revealed the UK will be forced to pay into EU budgets as the price of Sir Keir\u2019s \u201cBrexit reset\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n

Taxpayer cash will be funnelled into euro quangos that manage food standards and carbon emission rules.<\/p>\n

The documents say: \u201cThe United Kingdom should contribute financially to supporting the relevant costs associated with the Union\u2019s work in these policy areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

By paying into the schemes, restrictions on the flow of goods from the UK to the EU will be eased.<\/p>\n

But Britain will still be blocked from making any changes or amendments to the rules.<\/p>\n

Reform<\/a> Deputy Leader Richard Tice<\/a> said: \u201cThis smugness from Merz follows Macron\u2019s insult last week. It is exactly why the public voted to leave behind arrogant continental politicians.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a prime minister and a cabinet full of remainers that hate Brexit and will never take advantage of the freedoms it gave us.<\/p>\n
