Harmony Fire has won a two-year contract valued at \u00a311.6 million with Sheffield Council to deliver a residential fire safety upgrade programme at approximately 1,800 residential homes across the borough.<\/p>\n
The contract, which also has the option for an additional two years\u2019 extension, sees Harmony Fire undertaking fire door replacement and remedial activities. The scope of work includes the installation of both 60-minute and 30-minute (FD60 and FD30) compliant fire-rated door sets for individual flats and within communal areas.<\/p>\n
The programme will be coordinated from Harmony Fire\u2019s regional Chesterfield base, and the high-specification fire door sets will also be manufactured within the town, to provide a secure and localised supply chain solution, bringing major carbon and sustainability benefits to the project.<\/p>\n
Cllr Douglas Johnson, Chair of Sheffield City Council\u2019s Housing Policy Committee, said: \u201cWe take the safety of our tenants very seriously, and are always looking at new ways to protect people in their homes.<\/p>\n
