agents may feel under attack following the Panorama revelations this week, The Neg can reveal there is some good news to bolster down-in-the dumps negotiators.

A book published by novelist and former magazine editor Dale Bradford has been an unexpected success on the Amazon ‘sci-fi’ book lists for eight months now, featuring fictional character Eric Meek.

The book mixes elements of the make-believe with mismatched romance and murder and is centred around the 60-year-old estate agent who discovers a time portal in a garage, which he uses to right the wrongs of the past.

Winford tells The Neg that the book has been such as success that he has now written a sequel – The Time-Travelling Estate Agent 2.

The book has certainly found an audience

He adds: “The book has certainly found an audience and I’ve been delighted to read so many positive reviews.

“Eric Meek has proven to be a very popular character and following this week’s BBC Panorama broadcast, and an earlier study that found estate agents are the third most complained about profession in the UK, the character might even be helping to improve the public’s view of the profession.”

The sequel, which has been given favourable reviews by all of the those who have bought the book is now available to buy and will be followed by a final tome in the trilogy next year.

“The series is a blend of sci-fi, murder mystery, and mismatched romcom, with nods to Groundhog Day and 50 First Dates,” says Bradford. “It is set in and around Cwmbran, South Wales, where I grew up”.

Both books are available as an <a
