There aren\u2019t many fighters that know Carl Froch<\/a> as well as George Groves<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The super-middleweight rivals had a bitter feud in 2013 and 2014, resulting in two high profile fights that are still fondly remembered over a decade on.<\/p>\n

Their first meeting saw Groves drop Froch early on before he was controversially stopped by \u2018The Cobra\u2019 in the ninth round, leading to an iconic rematch at Wembley Stadium six months later.<\/p>\n

Froch emphatically won that one by eighth round knockout to put their saga to bed<\/a>, and that turned out to be the last time that \u2018The Cobra\u2019 would compete professionally, bringing to an end an impressive career which saw him become a three-time world champion.<\/p>\n

As of late, Froch has been involved in a war of words with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul<\/a>, with the pair continuously linked to a fight with one another. Froch has said that the YouTuber-turned-fighter is one of, if not the, only man he would come out of retirement for.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s something that Groves has advised against when speaking to JOE<\/a> however, telling his former foe that he would be stopped by Paul.<\/p>\n

\u201cJake Paul beats him every day of the week, stops him. Froch is old, finished. I watched him on the bag it was horrendous. He was slow as f**k. He\u2019s trying to lure Jake Paul in. That\u2019s the only thing I can think. He\u2019s showing this mediocre work to lure Jake Paul in.<\/p>\n

\u201cCarl has such a presence now, his channel is flying, he\u2019s got status, Hall of Fame, and tells people he\u2019s in shape so he might actually get a Jake Paul fight. Jake if he\u2019s not out in the graveyard digging up dead bodies, the next best thing would be Froch wouldn\u2019t it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope Froch wins for us ex-pros but I don\u2019t think he will, I think Paul beats him. Too fast, too big, too nippy. Plus he\u2019ll get in his head won\u2019t he. I got in Froch\u2019s head. It\u2019s not the hardest thing in the world. Jake Paul 100% is king of the mind games, he\u2019s going to drive him f**king nuts, he\u2019ll ruin him. I hope it doesn\u2019t happen, I don\u2019t think Froch needs it, but if it does happen I\u2019ll be supporting him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For now, Paul\u2019s focus appears to be elsewhere, as he attempts to earn himself a shot at a world cruiserweight title in the near future.<\/a><\/p>\n
