Police have confirmed that no further action will be taken following a review of Kneecap\u2019s performance at this year\u2019s Glastonbury Festival.<\/p>\n
In June Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that a criminal investigation was under way after the performances of the Irish language rap trio and Bob Vylan at Glastonbury Festival.<\/p>\n
On Friday, the Belfast group posted an email from a detective superintendent on social media, confirming that \u201cno further action\u201d would be taken.<\/p>\n
During Bob Vylan\u2019s performance, rapper Bobby Vylan chanted \u201cdeath, death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)\u201d, while a member of Kneecap suggested fans \u201cstart a riot\u201d outside his bandmate\u2019s upcoming court appearance.<\/p>\n
Band member Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, was charged in May with a terrorism offence relating to displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north London, during a gig in November 2024.<\/p>\n
The group recently performed at Glasgow\u2019s O2 Academy, in a gig which sold out in 80 seconds.<\/p>\n
They were due to perform at TRNSMT festival in Glasgow, but their set was axed after concerns raised by police.<\/p>\n

Kneecap fans defend Glastonbury performance as BBC say it will not be live-streamed<\/p>\n
Earlier this week they announced new tour dates to play their \u201cbiggest run of shows ever\u201d across Scotland, Wales and England.<\/p>\n
Their tour will start in Bournemouth on November 14 before moving on to Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow.<\/p>\n
