{"id":272182,"date":"2025-07-18T13:55:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T13:55:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/272182\/"},"modified":"2025-07-18T13:55:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-18T13:55:09","slug":"kneecap-to-face-no-further-action-over-glastonbury-performance-kneecap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/272182\/","title":{"rendered":"Kneecap to face no further action over Glastonbury performance | Kneecap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dcr-16w5gq9\">Kneecap will face no further action over their Glastonbury performance last month, Avon and Somerset police have said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-16w5gq9\">In a statement, the force said: \u201cAn investigation has been carried out into comments about a forthcoming court case made during Kneecap\u2019s performance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/glastonbury\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glastonbury festival<\/a> on Saturday 28 June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-16w5gq9\">\u201cDetectives sought advice from the Crown Prosecution Service during their enquiries and after that advice, we have made the decision to take no further action on the grounds there is insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction for any offence.
