With Liverpool\u2019s Christmas celebrations growing in recent years &#8211; including record visitor numbers and glowing national recognition &#8211; the city is looking to expand its seasonal offerings even further.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Last year\u2019s Christmas market at <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">St George\u2019s Hall <\/a>attracted more than 500,000 throughout its six-week run, with an increase in overnight stays. This built on 2023 when 25% of visitors were from outside the north west, and 18% stayed overnight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">To meet demand, last year the City Council\u2019s Markets team also introduced some new experiences, including a <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Winter Artisan Market<\/a> inside <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">St Georges Hall<\/a>, a festive offering at <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Stanley Park<\/a>, an artisan and creator\u2019s market on Basnett Street and also an offer in Exchange Flags.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">To keep up momentum, the<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Culture Liverpool <\/a>team is inviting expressions of interest from experienced event organisers to create an additional festive offer at the Pier Head, complementing the existing markets.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_JS351878267.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Liverpool Christmas Markets at St Georges Hall Plateau and gardens. Photo by Colin Lane<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Proposals should include a standout feature &#8211; such as an ice rink, grotto, or another ticketed festive focal point &#8211; that enhances the city\u2019s seasonal charm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Some of the other requirements include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"UnorderedList_unordered-list__gzblI\">\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Make sure it\u2019s an inclusive experience &#8211; including wheelchair access, sensory-friendly areas, clear signage, and diverse activities for all ages.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Considering d\u00e9cor which complements the Pier Head.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Ensure there are high quality food and drink stalls on offer.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Facilitate small and local independent makers and artisans on a \u2018pop up\u2019 basis<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Use environmentally friendly consumables and power solutions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"sc-700e1ff3-0 VljCu\">Recruit an independent Safety Officer and Event Manager who should be involved throughout the planning, implementation, operation and de-rig.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_Liverpool-Christmas-Markets-at-St-Georges-Hall-Plateau-and-gardens-Photo-by-Colin-Lane.jpg\" alt=\"Liverpool Christmas Markets at St George's Hall Plateau and gardens\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Liverpool Christmas Markets at St George&#8217;s Hall Plateau and gardens(Image: Colin Lane\/Liverpool Echo)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">For more information and to submit an expression of interest, visit the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/cultureliverpool.co.uk\/christmas-2025-expression-of-interest\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Culture Liverpool websiteLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Culture Liverpool website<\/a>.
