It\u2019s fair to say that Sheffield Wednesday aren\u2019t in great shape right now, with their list of problems ever growing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dejphon Chansiri<\/a> has been open to a sale, but any movement on that front appears to have stalled.<\/p>\n

Under the Thai businessman, Sheffield Wednesday have been placed under multiple embargoes<\/a> in the last couple of months, one of which has been lifted.<\/p>\n

Amid financial problems and inability to pay wages on time, several first-team players have left for nothing, including Josh Windass and Michael Smith, who terminated their contracts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, EFL Analysis<\/strong> has revealed that Danny Rohl is leaving<\/a> after his position with the Owls became \u2018untenable\u2019.<\/p>\n

Now, as well as manager, player and takeover issues, there is also a problem with Hillsborough Stadium.<\/p>\n

After returning for the 2025 pre-season, Wednesday players have been forced to train elsewhere as their facilities were not ready.<\/p>\n

Now, the Telegraph<\/a> have reported on July 18 that the north stand of Hillsborough may be closed when the 2025\/26 Championship season gets underway.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s added that the club have been warned the council will not be \u2018in a position to approve the continuance of the existing general safety certificate\u2019.<\/p>\n

Joe Otten, chair of the environmental services and regulation policy committee at Sheffield City Council, confirmed a meeting with the club.<\/p>\n

He said, as per BBC <\/a>N<\/a>ews<\/a>: \u201cAs the certifying authority, we carry out our duties in working with organisations to make sure that they meet the requirements of the safety certificate that we issue to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s vital for all of them to make sure that they provide a safe sports ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> may have more problems to deal with on the player front as the weeks go on.<\/p>\n

The Owls have already moved on a number of their top stars, either to help bring in money or because they have asked to terminate deals.<\/p>\n

And Joe Crann is concerned that more players will leave Wednesday<\/a> after Smith and Windass.<\/p>\n
