Kieran Tierney says he has no intention to leave Celtic<\/a> again \u2013 telling fans ‘I see myself being here for the rest of my career. ‘<\/p>\n The returning hero is back into the swing of things as Brendan Rodgers<\/a>‘ team ramp up pre-season and he was back to something approaching his best against Sporting CP on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n His return comes six years on from his \u00a325m move to Arsenal<\/a>, where injuries prevented him really kicking on and realising his potential down south.<\/p>\n But now Tierney<\/a> is back where it started, he’s hoping to make up for the time lost to bad luck on the injury front.<\/p>\n He’s signed a long-term deal which runs until at least 2030 with the option to extend beyond that.<\/p>\n That would take him beyond his 33rd birthday and cement his status among the club’s all-time greats.<\/p>\n So does he plan on seeing that contract out?<\/p>\n Yes… and then some.<\/p>\n He was asked about his long-term future at a fan media press conference and told CeltsAreHere<\/a>: \u201cYou don\u2019t come back to your home at 28 and think about going somewhere else again. Obviously in football, you never know \u2014 I learned that the first time around.<\/p>\n \u201cI grew up never thinking I\u2019d leave Celtic. But things happen. For me, I\u2019ve signed a long-term deal, so I definitely see myself being here for the rest of my career.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be successful here is to keep Celtic at the top. That\u2019s the ambition \u2014 plain and simple. Keep Celtic at the top, that\u2019s what matters most to me.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if I had solid plans. Like I said, in football anything can happen.
