You see how much we missed him, that threat, that attacking purpose that he has every time he\u2019s on the ball.\u201d \u2013 Mikel Arteta<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You\u2019d think the return of Saka will galvanise Arsenal\u2019s attack, too, as the Gunners prepare to visit Goodison Park in Gameweek 31.<\/p>\n<p>The Toffees have been in decent form under David Moyes, but have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last seven matches.<\/p>\n<p>It should also be pointed out that only Southampton and Nottingham Forest have conceded more key passes than Everton from their right flank in the last six Gameweeks, with just four clubs allowing more crosses from that zone.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Arsenal have a Double Gameweek 33 on the way, when they face Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n<p>MARCO ASENSIO<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"782\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/2025-03-12T213039Z_1845930509_UP1EL3C1NR2L5_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-CHAMPIONS-AVL-CLU-REPORT-1-1024x782.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-136342 webpexpress-processed\" style=\"object-fit:cover;width:300px;height:225px\"  \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>FPL ownership:<\/strong> 3.1%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Price:<\/strong> \u00a36.1m<\/li>\n<li><strong>GW31-35 fixtures:<\/strong> NFO | sou | NEW + mci | \u2013 | FUL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s a risky pick this, underscored by the fact that <strong>Marco Asensio<\/strong> (\u00a36.1m) has started just two Premier League games for Aston Villa.<\/p>\n<p>But having been benched in midweek and with some tasty fixtures on the horizon, the Spaniard potentially fits the bill as a differential gamble.<\/p>\n<p>The reason Asensio has entered our thinking in Gameweek 31 is that he has been on fire since his Villa debut.<\/p>\n<p>In just four starts and six sub appearances, he\u2019s plundered eight goals and one assist in all competitions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/GnjqEiNXQAEm2k0-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-136349 webpexpress-processed\"  \/><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe adaptation is going quick with Asensio because he\u2019s playing his position. Some teams don\u2019t play with a No 10, but we do and it\u2019s easy for him.\u201d \u2013 Unai Emery<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Asensio could return to Unai Emery\u2019s first XI for Saturday\u2019s home clash with Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s one of the toughest match-ups an attacker can face this season, but Villa are unbeaten in 14 league matches on home turf, so he\u2019ll fancy his chances.<\/p>\n<p>Asensio then faces Southampton in Gameweek 32, before enjoying a Double Gameweek 33, when Villa take on Newcastle United and Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p>In an ideal scenario, he starts against Forest on Saturday, is a substitute for the midweek trip to Paris Saint-Germain, and subsequently comes back into the first XI against Southampton.<\/p>\n<p>You can then probably expect one start and one sub appearance in Double Gameweek 33.<\/p>\n<p>Given his impact off the bench since arriving at Villa Park, it\u2019s a gamble which could potentially pay off.<\/p>\n<p>FABIAN SCHAR<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"665\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/2025-01-18T140107Z_1383363363_UP1EL1I12XTN2_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-ENGLAND-NEW-BOU-REPORT-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-136343 webpexpress-processed\" style=\"object-fit:cover;width:300px;height:225px\"  \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>FPL ownership:<\/strong> 2.0%<\/li>\n<li><strong>Price:<\/strong> \u00a35.4m<\/li>\n<li><strong>GW31-35 fixtures:<\/strong> lei | MUN + CRY | avl | IPS | bha<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Having recorded a clean sheet in their previous away fixture, Newcastle United look a decent bet for a second successive shut-out on the road in Gameweek 31.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because opponents Leicester City have failed to find the back of the net in seven successive league games, while no side has scored fewer goals in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Ruud van Nistelrooy\u2019s side are also bottom for attempts on goal, shots on target and expected goals (xG) since the turn of the year.<\/p>\n<p>What potentially sets <strong>Fabian Schar<\/strong> (\u00a35.4m) apart from his cheaper team-mates, such as <strong>Dan Burn<\/strong> (\u00a34.4m) and <strong>Tino Livramento<\/strong> (\u00a34.5m), is his goal threat.<\/p>\n<p>Only 10 FPL defenders have registered more shots than Schar this season, with the centre-half prominent at set-piece situations and taking a few direct free-kicks, too.<\/p>\n<p>Crucially, upcoming opponents Leicester and Manchester United both rank among the worst four sides for set play xG conceded in 2024\/25, with 12.8 and 10.7 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a Double Gameweek 32 to look forward to, plus an appealing clash against Ipswich Town in Gameweek 34, when four other teams blank.<\/p>\n<p>So, with <strong>Kieran Trippier<\/strong> (\u00a35.6m) flagged and Burn two bookings away from a suspension, Schar could be a nice differential pick to capitalise on Newcastle\u2019s kind fixture run.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/joinffscout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/statsbomb-header-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-125287 webpexpress-processed\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United assets are on our differentials radar in Gameweek 31.
