\n\t\t\tNEW BLADDER scanners have been handed to Solihull nurses treating patients when visiting them at home.<\/p>\n
The new equipment, funded by Solihull Hospital Charity, enables nurses to carry out essential bladder assessments in patients\u2019 homes, supporting early diagnosis, reducing unnecessary hospital visits.<\/p>\n
The hospital charity funded the three bladder scanners which are more lightweight and portable.<\/p>\n
Bladder scanners are important for patients with conditions such as urinary retention or incontinence, as well as those with mobility challenges or complex health needs.<\/p>\n
It is said having access to this technology in the community allows nurses to make quicker decisions, initiate timely treatment and avoid hospital admissions.<\/p>\n
\nJessica Burton, clinical lead for Solihull Community Bladder and Bowel Services said: \u201cWe are incredibly grateful to Solihull Hospital Charity for funding the new scanners.<\/p>\n
