Manchester United will have their first pre-season runout on Saturday when Ruben Amorim’s side take on newly-promoted Leeds United in Sweden. The Portuguese can finally catch a glimpse of the work on the training field as they look to put right the wrongs of last season’s dour campaign.<\/p>\n

For those United supporters in Scandinavia, they will get a sneak peek at new signings Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon after the pair were selected to board the flight to Stockholm. It begins a gruelling pre-season which will see them then jet off to the United States to face three more Premier League<\/a> opponents before returning home to face Fiorentina at Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the transfer front, there has been some frustration from supporters after their long-winded pursuit of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.<\/p>\n

However, there was positivity as United reached an agreement with the Bees to sign the Cameroon international after their \u00a370million bid was accepted.<\/p>\n

Talks will remain ongoing to thrash out the finer details and personal terms but the forward poses the chance for a fresh injection of quality in an attacking area that struggled last season.<\/p>\n

Lisandro Martinez returned to first-team training after missing the remainder of last season through injury but his comeback continues to be monitored back at Carrington.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Joshua Zirkze will remain in the North West, with Andre Onana, to recover from small issues but the pair will both travel to America for the next stage of pre-season preparations.<\/p>\n

United take on Daniel Farke’s side in Stockholm on Saturday, 2pm kick-off.<\/p>\n
