The Avenue Tennis Club in Burnham-On-Sea is celebrating a summer of success following the conclusion of the North Somerset Tennis League (NSTL). <\/strong><\/p>\n

With strong performances across the board, the Ladies B team led the charge, securing promotion and topping Division Six with an impressive 74 points, comfortably ahead of Nailsea on 60.<\/p>\n

The team delivered standout wins against Nailsea, recording an 8-3 victory away and a dominant 10-1 win at home. The seven-strong squad featured Shirley Hyde, Pippa Lawton, Louise Lloyd, Angela Tinnion (Ladies Captain), Rachel Oxley, Handan Ozen Catir and Elaine Amos, all contributing to a memorable season.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Ladies C team narrowly missed promotion from Division Eight, finishing third with 41 points, behind a dominant Wells side and runners-up Nailsea. Players included Claire Brewer, Vanessa Cambridge, Janet Boyer, Jane Impey, Zoe Lloyd, Handan Ozen Catir and Elaine Cullen.<\/p>\n

The club boasts some of Somerset\u2019s finest facilities including eight floodlit courts, a modern clubhouse with bar, and a range of social and competitive sessions.<\/p>\n
