Llandudno boasts a beautiful pier with an arcade, ice cream kiosks and fish and chip stands.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_WEATHER-Sunny-and-hot-across-North-wales-on-Sunday.jpg\" alt=\"Llandudno promenade and beach\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Llandudno promenade and beach(Image: Hadyn Iball \/ North Wales Live)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It\u2019s also got a sweeping pebble beach lined with a long promenade which exudes Victorian charm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Yet there\u2019s also a whole other side to Llandudno, as the Times highlights: \u201cAway from the shore, most visitors now also choose to spend some time hiking the hulking peak known as the Great Orme.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">This headland overlooks Llandudno and from its 679ft summit you can see as far as the Isle of Man and the Lake District.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Visitors who don&#8217;t fancy hiking can reach the summit by hitching a ride on the tramway &#8211; the only cable-hauled public road tramway in Britain, which opened in 1902.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It takes you through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve all the way to the summit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Join our Manc Life WhatsApp group <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/KfTmjBfYQVuE2KHTPAQMIj\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"HERELink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Another way to experience the Great Orme is via the famous cable cars, which run from Happy Valley to the summit, offering incredible views of the area.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_West-Shore-Beach-Llandudno-North-Wales.jpg\" alt=\"West Shore Beach\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>West Shore Beach(Image: Jeff Buck\/ geograph.org.uk)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Llandudno also has a hidden gem up its sleeve. <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/whats-on\/family-kids-news\/north-wales-seaside-town-secret-31505234\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">On the opposite side of the headland to the main beach is West Shore beach, which has remained under-the-radar for a lot of visitors.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Here the beach is golden and sandy, backed by dunes.
