The yellow warning for rain was issued on Saturday morning and is in place for 27 hours from 6pm until 9pm on Sunday. According to the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/wales-weather\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">weather<\/a> forecaster the areas affected can expect heavy rain and thunderstorms which may cause flooding and transport disruption.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The parts of Wales affected are: <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/blaenau-gwent\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Blaenau Gwent<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/bridgend\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bridgend<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/caerphilly\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Caerphilly<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/cardiff\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Cardiff<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/carmarthenshire\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Carmarthenshire<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/ceredigion\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Ceredigion<\/a>, Merthyr Tydfil, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/monmouthshire\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Monmouthshire<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/neath-port-talbot\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Neath <\/a><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/port-talbot\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Port Talbot<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/newport\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Newport<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/pembrokeshire\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Pembrokeshire<\/a>, Powys, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/rhondda\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Rhondda<\/a> Cynon Taf, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/swansea\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Swansea<\/a>, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/torfaen\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Torfaen<\/a> and Vale of Glamorgan. Other areas of Britain impacted by the same warning are: Parts of London and South East England and South West England.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A Met Office forecast said: &#8220;Outbreaks of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect southwest England from Saturday evening, gradually spreading further north and east across Wales during early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Further heavy showers and thunderstorms will break out in places across the warning area through the course of Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Rainfall amounts will vary from place to place, but in some areas 30 to 50mm is likely to fall in a few hours and there is a small chance that a few locations could see 75mm or more.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A further amber warning for thunderstorms has been in place from 4am on Saturday in the south east of England and London.
