{"id":274641,"date":"2025-07-19T11:56:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-19T11:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/274641\/"},"modified":"2025-07-19T11:56:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-19T11:56:10","slug":"burys-best-and-worst-gp-surgeries-as-per-gp-patient-survey-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/274641\/","title":{"rendered":"Bury&#8217;s &#8216;best and worst GP surgeries&#8217; as per GP Patient Survey 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  People across the country were asked to rate their experience from &#8220;very good&#8221;\u00a0to &#8220;very poor&#8221;\u00a0based on how easy it was to make an appointment, how often they saw their preferred GP and confidence in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/topics\/health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">healthcare<\/a> professionals among\u00a0other factors.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The data was collected by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/topics\/nhs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NHS<\/a> as part of the GP Patient Survey 2025.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Blackford House Medical Centre in\u00a0Croft Lane topped the list in the borough, with 87.6 per cent of patients saying that they had an overall positive experience with the practice.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Carol Armstrong, practice manager partner at Blackford House Medical Centre, said: \u201cThe team at Blackford House Medical Centre are all delighted to have achieved such good results in the GP Patient Survey.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThank you to all patients who took part in the survey.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;We are all very proud to be part of a hardworking and caring team who always strive to maintain high standards of holistic patient care.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"http:\/\/Get%20the%20latest%20news%20delivered%20straight%20to%20your%20inbox%20by%20signing%20up%20to%20the%20Bury%20Times%20morning%20newsletter%20as%20well%20as%20our%20breaking%20news%20alerts.\" rel=\"nofollow\">Get the latest news delivered straight to your inbox by signing up to the Bury Times morning newsletter as well as our breaking news alerts.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Birches Medical Centre in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/news\/prestwich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prestwich<\/a> followed very closely behind with 87.5 per cent of people reporting an overall positive experience.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Nationally, the data shows that 75.4 per cent of patients found their overall experience as &#8220;good&#8221;\u00a0&#8211; up from 73.9 per cent last year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Across the country, 43.9 per cent of patients said that the overall experience was \u2018very good\u2019 while 31.5 per cent was \u2018fairly good\u2019.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Meanwhile, Ramsbottom Medical Practice in\u00a0Carr Street, ranking last in the borough list, with 53.8 per cent of patients reporting a positive overall experience and 24.9 per cent.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ NEXT:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/news\/25320709.police-seize-axe-make-5-arrests-following-report-males-balloons\/?rel=cl_mra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Police seize axe and make 5 arrests following report of &#8216;males doing balloons&#8217;<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <strong>READ NEXT:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/news\/25315661.true-hidden-gem-borough-restaurant-named-best-region-top-foodie-guide\/?rel=cl_mra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The &#8216;true hidden gem&#8217; borough restaurant named best in region by top foodie guide<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Annette Addison, practice manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/news\/ramsbottom_and_tottington\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ramsbottom<\/a> Medical Practice, said: \u201cWe were disappointed with the results compared to previous years and appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised and share our plans for improvement.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe acknowledge that the survey results indicate areas where we need to improve our services.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Patient care and satisfaction are at the heart of what we do, and we are committed to making the necessary changes to improve the experience for all our patients.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They\u00a0are also \u201cactively working\u201d to increase the number of available appointments and investing in additional staff <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burytimes.co.uk\/jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">training<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Annette added: \u201cWhile the GP National Survey provides valuable insights, it is based on historic feedback with very limited respondents i.e. 114 responses from a practice list size of 8200.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe are constantly monitoring our friends and family feedback, which is produced and analysed on a monthly basis and generally shows over 90 per cent\u00a0satisfaction.
